INDICATIONS:
Food supplement based on Quercetin, Trans-Resveratrol, dry Artichoke extract, Omega 3, Folic Acid, Aluminium Hydroxide, Vitamins B6 and B12 and Potassium, which acts as a renal cytoprotector, anti-inflammatory agent and enteric phosphate binder, providing support in cases of chronic renal failure.
- Oxidative stress mediates renal damage, the pathophysiology and progression of chronic renal failure.
- Quercetin, a flavonoid with a powerful antioxidant effect, reduces inflammatory response and inhibits mesangial cell apoptosis, thus protecting the nephrons – the basic components of the kidneys.
- Trans-Resveratrol is a polyphenol from the stilbene group which, acting as a renal cytoprotector, reduces glomerulosclerosis, proteinuria and systolic pressure by increasing NO-mediated (Nitric Oxide) vasodilation.
- Folic Acid and Vitamins B6 and B12 are cofactors that support vitamin deficiencies, anaemia and hyperhomocysteinaemia; a risk factor for cardiovascular mortality.
- Aluminium Hydroxide acts as an enteric phosphate binder, limiting its retention and, therefore, hyperphosphataemia and secondary hyperparathyroidism. It also improves renal function and prevents mineralisation, inflammation and renal fibrosis.
- Artichoke extract is a digestive and a liver protector. It stimulates the appetite, is antiemetic, spasmolytic, choleretic and cholagogue.
- The Omega 3 fatty acids protect the kidneys, reducing plasma cholesterol.
- The addition of Potassium helps to regulate its levels in the body, especially important in cats.
