Salmonellosis Treatment Plan in Cage Birds

To consider:

➊  EVery common disease in all types of birds, which affects both chicks as adults.

➋  Birds that pass the disease can become carriers.

➌  It can present in several ways: Intestinal (acute greenish diarrhea), joint (wings falling and legs shrunken), organic (affecting vital organs) and nervous (loss of balance, paralysis, turns of the neck similar to those caused by paramyxovirosis)

➍  It spreads through food, water, by air and through the egg shell.

Products needed for treatment:

● Total Disinfection Solution, to control the spread of germs.

● Baytril Master Formula, for the elimination of the causative agent of the disease (salmonella typhimurium)

● Entrobac, to regenerate the intestinal flora and replenish all fluids lost during the disease process.

Scheme to follow for the treatment of Salmonellosis

This plan must be applied for 10 days. At the end of this period, we evaluate and if the birds are not yet recovered, we wait 4-6 days and repeat the treatment.
